ACT Meteors volunteer at Roundabout Canberra to give back to community
In the 2023/24 cricket season our ACT Meteors took time out to volunteer at local charity, Roundabout Canberra. Roundabout provides safe, high quality, essential baby and children’s items to families in need in our local community. The organisation takes donations of pre-loved (and new) items from the Canberra community, including cots, prams, car seats, linen, clothing, and toys. Volunteers clean, sort and safety check items to ensure they meet mandatory safety standards before be packaged up to head off to a family in their time of need. One of the Meteors values is Connecting with Community, and this volunteer session was the perfect way for players to learn more about Roundabout and also do their part to give back to the local community.
