Umpiring and scoring are important roles in cricket and a great way for non-playing members of the cricket community to be involved in the game. Cricket ACT, in partnership with ACT Cricket Umpires and Scorers Council (ACTCUSC) is responsible for the delivery of umpiring courses and scorer training throughout the ACT.
The ACT Cricket Umpires and Scorers Council is responsible for the delivery of umpiring courses throughout the ACT.
It’s our job to ensure that our umpiring development system is second-to-none, and we provide opportunities not just to achieve accreditation, but also to develop as a coach.
Umpiring is for anybody, and you’ll join over 5,000 active umpires who are right in the thick of the action in the best seat in the house.
You can complete an online course to begin your umpiring journey, and progress right through from umpiring at the local Premier Cricket level to umpiring on the national stage.
Opportunities also exist for umpires to stand in local indoor cricket facilities throughout Canberra – a great way to earn some pocket money and keep your skills up!
