The ACTive Academy program utilises a diverse group of Cricket Australia qualified coaches. Aidan Gunning Aidan has been involved in cricket as a coach for 6 years, in various roles in Australia. More recently he was the lead coach at the NextGen Academy in the UK. Aidan specialises in fast bowling biomechanics and action reconstruction, as well as base batting technique and game plan management. Fletcher Tarry Fletcher has been involved in cricket for a number of years and even had the opportunity to coach in the UK where he was responsible for coaching multiple club teams. Fletcher specialises in batting, spin bowling and fielding. Jake Smith Jake has coached regularly for the last 3 years, two of those years within the ACTive Academy. Jake specialises in batting, spin bowling (particularly leg spin) and fielding coaching. Norman Vanua Norman has been a high performance national representative for Papua New Guinea since 2010, played in International fixtures in 24 countries, and played in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 and 2024. Achieved top ten in global ICC T20 All Rounder Rankings in 2022. As an all-rounder, Norman is known for his aggressive big hits and breakthrough bowling. Harrison Jones Harrison has been involved in Canberra’s first grade cricket competition for a number of years playing for North Canberra Gungahlin Cricket Club and is known for his fast-paced bowling. Harrison specialises in swing and pace bowling. Jayden Manton Jayden specialises in batting, swing bowling, and fielding, with experience coaching junior teams at Radford College. He maximises athletes' potential in a positive, energetic environment, tailoring training through varied techniques to suit individual learning styles while fostering personal and social growth through sport. Otto Wrakonei Otto has been involved in Cricket for four years. He has coached the PNG Academy for the U19s and senior squads, and the Womens Lewas and Silas as a S&C/skills coach. Otto specialises in all forms of bowling and fielding.
