The Hellenic Club of Canberra in Woden transformed into a hub of excitement and pride on Friday night at the 2023/24 Cricket ACT Junior Awards Night, as over 600 young cricketers, their families, and the unsung heroes of the sport—our devoted volunteers and administrators—came together in a celebration of the season’s triumphs.
The air buzzed with tales of victories, near misses, and the sheer joy of the game. Each award presented was a testament to the hard work and passion that fuels our junior players. It was a moment to pause and appreciate those who make it all possible—the tireless individuals who ensure that every match is played, every run is counted, and every player has their chance to shine.
Our community’s support is our strength, and we were honored to have our dedicated partners join us in this celebration. A heartfelt thank you to CDC Data Centres, Greg Chappell Cricket Centre, Capital Chemist, Kookaburra Sport, and the ACT Government. Their unwavering support is the backbone of our success.
As the night drew to a close, the message was clear: In Canberra, cricket is more than a game—it’s a journey we embark on together.
Cricket ACT extends its warmest congratulations to all the night’s winners. Here’s to another year of unforgettable cricket.
