Vale Vic Cristofani

It is with sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Vic Cristofani, a cherished member of our ACT cricket community. Vic's contributions to the sport, both on and off the field, have left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Vic Cristofani's cricket journey was illustrious, beginning with his First Grade cricket careers in Sydney at St George and Western Suburbs, and in Adelaide at East Torrens. He later became a pivotal figure in Canberra's cricket scene, playing for Western District and serving as President and player for the ANU Cricket Club. His leadership as ANU President saw the club achieve remarkable success, including First Grade premierships in 1997-98 and 1998-99.

A life member of both the ANU Cricket Club and Cricket ACT, Vic's dedication to the sport was further recognised with the Australian Sports Medal in 2000. His passion for nurturing young talent was evident through his coaching roles at City (now North Canberra-Gungahlin), ANU, and Daramalan College. Vic's commitment to developing young players in Canberra has left a lasting legacy.

On behalf of the Board and staff at Cricket ACT, we extend our deepest condolences to the Cristofani family and his friends during this difficult time. Vic's memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him and in the continued success of the players and clubs he so passionately supported.
